Young Marble Giants, post punk band based in Cardiff and signed to Rough Trade Records in 1979, have not existed for more than 3 years. However, they've been an important influence for artists like Kurt Cobain or Etienne Daho. Their music, directly inspired from Brian Eno, Neil Young, Kraftwerk or Can, didn't reach much audience in France as they did not perform a lot. One of the rare concerts they gave was at Bains Douches, back in the days... In 1980 exactly.
This is the B-Side of this very good 12" "The True Story Of House Music" by L.B. Bad also known as Lamont Booker or Prince Of Dance Music. It was released on Nu Groove, an underground and well respected house music (but not only) label, based in New-York and active between 1988 and 1992. Can you feel it?
